Having a ‘Proper Pottery Party’ makes for an extra- special occasion. Whatever your age, you are guaranteed to have a great time whilst trying new activities and learning new skills. You can even bring your own party food to make the studio feel like your own.

The studio is well equipped, colourful and creative, and is always decked out for a party! The only thing you need to do is supply a buffet/ nibbles/ cake, if you wish. This can be laid out in the pottery room and enjoyed during your party.

A party lasts for 2 hours, and everyone has the chance to make a pot on a pottery wheel with guidance from an experienced tutor. All of your creations can be painted during the session, and when it’s time to go home the pots will stay at the Pottery Parlour for around 3 weeks. During this time they will be left to dry for 1-2 weeks, then glazed and fired in a kiln. When the pots are finished they can be picked up by arrangement.

Parties go down really well with all age groups and are a great way to celebrate as a group of friends, or as a family. We have hosted all manner of clay- based celebratory gatherings, from birthday parties for many different ages to hen parties, via holiday outings and good old catch ups over the pottery table.

A party costs £15 per person. This covers materials, firing costs, and the use of the pottery studio and tutor for two hours of glorious creative relaxation (or mayhem!) We ask for a minimum of 4 people in your group, and can house up to about 14 in the studio.
